Refund Policy

College Shiksha

Last Updated: 22 September 2026

This Refund Policy explains the general principles applicable to payments, cancellations and refund requests associated with services accessed through College Shiksha.

Important: College Shiksha is an independent education counselling platform. Fees paid directly to a university, college or educational institution are governed by that institution's own payment, cancellation and refund policies.

1. College Shiksha Counselling Services

College Shiksha provides educational information, counselling and admission guidance to prospective students. Where these services are provided without a separate charge to the student, there is no counselling fee to refund.

2. University and Institution Fees

Application fees, registration fees, admission fees, tuition fees, semester fees, examination fees and other amounts charged by a university, college or educational institution are determined by the respective institution.

If a student makes such a payment directly to an institution or through an institution-authorised payment system, any request for cancellation or refund will be governed by the institution's applicable policy. College Shiksha cannot independently approve, reject, calculate or guarantee a refund of money received by another organisation.

3. Payments Facilitated During Admission Assistance

Where College Shiksha assists a student with an admission or payment process, students should verify the name of the payment recipient, amount, purpose of payment and applicable refund conditions before completing the transaction.

Assistance provided by a College Shiksha counsellor does not replace or modify the official payment and refund terms of the relevant educational institution.

4. Application and Registration Charges

Certain universities or institutions may treat application, registration, processing or similar charges as non-refundable. Whether a particular amount is refundable depends on the official policy applicable to the student's selected program and institution at the time of payment.

Students are encouraged to review the applicable terms before making any payment.

5. Admission Cancellation

If a student wishes to cancel an application or admission after making a payment to an educational institution, the student should submit the cancellation or refund request in accordance with the procedure prescribed by that institution.

Refund eligibility, deductions, administrative charges, deadlines and processing periods may vary depending on the institution and the stage at which cancellation is requested.

6. Admission Rejection or Ineligibility

If an application is rejected or a candidate is found ineligible by an educational institution, any refund entitlement will be determined by the institution's applicable admission and refund rules.

College Shiksha does not guarantee admission or guarantee that a particular payment will be refundable if an applicant does not meet the institution's eligibility or documentation requirements.

7. Duplicate or Incorrect Payments

If you believe that a payment has been made twice, an incorrect amount has been charged, or a transaction has been processed incorrectly, contact the payment recipient and College Shiksha promptly with the relevant transaction details.

Where appropriate, College Shiksha may assist you in identifying the relevant payment channel or institution contact. Final resolution remains subject to the records and policies of the organisation that received the payment.

8. Payment Failure

If a transaction appears unsuccessful but an amount has been debited from your bank account, card, UPI account or other payment method, the transaction may be subject to reconciliation or automatic reversal by the bank, payment gateway or payment recipient.

Students should retain transaction references, receipts and payment confirmations until the matter is resolved.

9. Refund Processing Time

Where a refund is approved by a university, educational institution or other payment recipient, the processing period will depend on that organisation's policy and the applicable bank or payment service provider. College Shiksha cannot guarantee a specific processing period for refunds issued by third parties.

10. No Guarantee of Refund

Submitting a refund or cancellation request does not automatically establish eligibility for a refund. Eligibility and the amount refundable, if any, depend on the applicable terms, payment type, timing of the request and the policies of the organisation that received the payment.

11. Supporting a Refund Enquiry

If you require assistance understanding where to submit a refund-related request for an admission process in which College Shiksha provided guidance, you may contact our support team. Please provide relevant details such as the applicant name, program, institution, payment date, amount and transaction reference where available.

Our team may assist with guidance or communication where reasonably possible, but such assistance does not constitute approval of a refund and does not override the institution's policies.

12. Changes to This Refund Policy

College Shiksha may update this Refund Policy when necessary to reflect changes in our services, payment processes or applicable requirements. The version published on this page with the latest revision date will apply.
